4. Commissioning and Operation

Mowing on flat areas

Mowing on slopes

Always turn the machine

towards the slope when

mowing on banks.

Before you start off check the
immediate surroundings for chil-
dren and animals.

Before you start work remove any for-
eign objects from the area to be mowed.
Watch out for foreign objects during
work.

l

Remove the knife guard

l

Start the engine

l

Engage the mowing drive

Pull the clutch control lever to engage the
mowing drive (A/2) and move the speed
control lever to the desired speed at the
same time; the knives start moving

l

Engage wheel drive:

Move the clutch control lever for wheel-
drive (A/1) towards the handlebar: the
mower moves ahead and starts mowing.

After operation or in case of
blockages:

l

Release the clutch control lever (A/1).

The mower will stop but the knives con-
tinue running. This will remove any
blockages from the cutter bar

l

Release the clutch control lever for

mowing drive (A/2)

l

Shut off the engine

l

Re-attach the knife guard

W

For any cleaning that be-
comes necessary during
work shut off the engine and

remove the spark plug connector for
safety reasons.
