This section describes the calibration procedure for E-series power 

sensors. The power meter identifies that an E-series power sensor is 

connected and automatically downloads the calibration table. Since there 

is no requirement to enter any calibration factors the channel 

 

and 

 softkeys are disabled. (These softkey labels are still 

visible but appear grayed out.)

Zero and calibrate the power meter/sensor combination as follows:

1

Ensure the power sensor is disconnected from any signal source.

Refer to the connection requirements in Table 1 and ensure the sensor 

is ready for connection to the power reference.

Press 

 and the channel 

 softkey to zero the channel. The 

 message and wait symbol are displayed.

Connect the power sensor to the POWER REF output.

Press the channel 

 softkey to start the calibration routine. The 

 message and wait symbol are displayed.

The power meter and sensor are now ready for use.

You can reduce the steps required to carry out the zero and calibration 

procedure as follows:

– Connect the power sensor to the POWER REF output.
