mode the meter is not synchronized to any modulated RF signal at the 

sensor input. Consequently, power levels within the configured time 

gates are random and the displayed measurement results are not valid.

To make use of the measurement gates the power meter must be 

triggered. The trigger can be taken from a rising or falling measured 

power level or controlled externally via the Ext Trig input or GPIB. 

Additional features such as hold-off, hysteresis, and delay are additional 

control features provided to help you achieve a stable and reliable 

trigger.
