Understanding the calibration policy
You should regularly perform a film calibration to assure that the image
quality remains optimal.
Film calibration can be initiated in 2 ways:
• Automatically, i.e. after loading every ‘x’ new film packs (automatic
initiation),
• Manually, i.e. you decide for yourself when to perform a film calibration,
e.g. daily, once a week, or only when the image quality tends to degrade.
For setting automatic or manual film calibration initiation, refer to
‘Changing
general image quality settings - Film calibration’
.
This checklist will assist you in determining the correct operation in order to
maintain the optimal image quality from your printer:
1.
Check if persistent white dots or white stripes in transport direction are
visible on the film.
• In case these artifacts are visible:
1.
Clean the print head.
2.
If the image quality is not OK, perform a film calibration.
• In case there are no artifacts:
1.
Perform film calibration.
2.
If the image quality is not OK, call service.
