3.9 Standard operation
The EU carries out initialization after it was switched on. the EU does not move.
The status of the EU-20 electric gripper is indicated by the two digital outputs DO1
and DO2.
Digital output
1 (DO 1) Digital output
2 (DO 2) Meaning
0 0 - Fehler / Error*
- Gripper actuator is initializing
- Gripper actuator is not energized
0 1 - Gripper actuator extended
1 0 - Gripper actuator retracted
* The error signal is automatically reset after 500 ms. After a reset the status which
was valid before the edge was changed at the digital input is output.
The gripper ignores an edge change at its digital input during the retraction and ex-
tension movement.
The standard flow of the gripper operation is shown in figure 1.
