17. If a manual choke will be installed gather the
choke pushrod, ball link, wheel collar and nylon
ties as shown. Wheel collar and ties are not sup-
plied.
Note:
If a manual choke is used it will be
necessary to cut a relief or exit hole in the
radial engine baffling.
18. We recommend installing the carburetor choke
pushrod as shown. Use nylon ties to provide
support and holding friction for the choke push-
rod. Place silicon fuel tubing over the wire
pushrod to prevent damage from vibration and
provide holding friction. Place a wheel collar on
the end of the pushrod to provide a finger grip.

20. Use blue Loctite to install the Pitts muffler bolts.
Remember to always use the engine manufac-
turer suggested gasket for proper seal.
Note:
It will be necessary to remove the muffler
during the cowl installation. It is recommend
that you wait until the final muffler
installation steps before using Loctite.
