2.4. Attaching the Focal Lens to the Scan Head

IMPORTANT

: Wear clean, powder-free gloves when you handle optical components.

The procedure outlined in this section is provided as a general reference for how to remove or install
a focal lenses (F-Theta lenses). A lens adapter is required to attach the focal lens to the AGV-HP(O)
series scan head. This lens adapter is supplied with optics configurations that include a focal lens.
For AGV-HP(O) scan heads that are provided without a focal lens, the user is responsible for
supplying both the F-Theta lens and the necessary lens adapter. Contact the factory for assistance
with the design of an appropriate lens adapter if necessary.

DANGER

: Make sure that the laser is set in the "off" position and secured against

accidental operation before you inspect or do maintenance to the focal lens.
