INSTALLATION
WARNING: before carrying out any work, put
the proper individual protection devices on.
WARNING: before carrying out any work, make
sure the electrical power is unplugged.
CAUTION: electrical connections, the installa-
tion of the fan coils and their accessories must
only be carried out by people with the proper
technical and professional qualifications for the
installation, conversion, expansion and mainte-
nance of the machinery and able to check that it
is working properly and safe.
In particular, the following checks are required
for electrical connections:
- Measurement of the electrical system insulation
strength.
- Continuity test of the protection wires.
The instructions for the proper installation of the
equipment are given below. The completion of
all the operations in accordance with the specific
requirements is however left to the experience of
the installation engineer.
The conditioners operating with refrigerant
R407C require particular attention in the fitting
and the maintenance in order to preserve them
malfunctioning, it is therefore necessary:
- Under all circumstances create a vacuum in
the lines and the indoor unit before opening
the taps of the condenser unit.
- Prevent water from being able to remain in the
refrigerating circuit.
- Avoid topping up with oil that is different than
that specified and already used in the compres-
sor. The rotary compressors in the R407C series
use DAPHNE FV68S oil.
- If there are gas leaks which cause the conditio-
ner to be even partially empty, do not top up
the coolant but empty the machine completely
and after creating a vacuum reload it with the
amount required.
- In the event of replacement of one of the refri-
gerating circuit parts, do not leave the circuit
open for more than 15 minutes.
- If the compressor is replaced, complete the
installation within fifteen minutes of removing
the rubber caps from it.
- Do not compress air inside the compressor.
- Do not power up the compressor when it is
empty.
-
It is not necessary to top up the coolant load
because the amount in the unit is calculated
for the use of refrigeration lines up to 10m,
the maximum allowed length.
- In the case of subsequent recharging using
R407C gas canisters, you are advised to pay
attention to the maximum number of run offs
permitted in order to guarantee the correct
ratio of the components in the R407C gas mix.
Before recharging make sure you are using the
same refrigerant gas indicated in the table of the
unit's characteristics.
DIFFERENCES IN UNIT HEIGHTS
The height difference between the indoor and
CXS H units may not be any more than ±5 m.
When the CXS H unit is higher you are advised
to create a syphon or a “curl” on the gas line for
every three metres of height difference.
