INSTALLATION
The
AM-04
1U frame may be installed in 19 inch bays with 327mm depth including typical
cable and connector depth. The dimensions of the
AM-04
are 483x283x44.3. Its weight is
5kg and the max power dissipated is 60 W.
Ventilation is by natural convection and there are vents at each side and on the top and
bottom covers of the unit. Frames may be installed into bays, providing airflow through these
vents is not impeded.
All connections, with the exception of the headphone socket, are provided on the rear panel
of the frame. The video input and output uses BNC connectors, demuxed SDI audio uses a
15 way ’D’ type connector and alarms/serial control I/O is via 9 way .D. type connectors.
Digital audio I/O may be supported with either XLR connectors for balanced audio or BNCs
for unbalanced audio, depending on the
AM-04
version specified at the time of ordering.

4.1. INPUT AND OUTPUT CONNECTOR
EL AM-04 includes tour balanced analog inputs over XLR3 male and two additional AES/EBU
inputs over XLR3 male connector. AM-04 offers two balanced analog outputs for monitoring
over XLR female connector.
The audio connections of the
AEQ AM-04
comply with the AES 14-1992 (ANSIS 4.48-1992)
recommendations. This recommendation is based on IEC 268-12 of 1987.
Equipment for
sound systems part 12, application of connectors for radio broadcast and similar uses.
The audio connection cables should be checked for compatibility with the standards
indicated. If this is not the case they must be exchanged or modified since problems could be
encountered with the phase of the audio signal.
