6.1
Replacing the Batteries
CAUTION:
Risk of electric shock. Disconnect all input(s) from the unit or
remove the clamp from any conductor before opening the rear cover to
change the batteries. Turn the unit off before changing the batteries or
loss of recorded data may occur.
•
Remove the screw from the battery cover.
•
Push down and slide off cover to remove.
•
Replace the two 1.5V AA (LR6) alkaline batteries (the backup
capacitor provides backup power for approximately 10 seconds
while the main batteries are being changed).
•
Replace the cover and the screw.
•
Press the
PRESS
button for 2 seconds to turn the instrument ON.
NOTE:
When changing the batteries, always replace both batteries.
If the instrument is stored without the batteries installed, the internal
clock will need to be reset using the Simple Logger II Control Panel soft-
ware once the batteries are installed. Only store the unit with the batteries
installed for short periods of time. For prolonged storage of the unit, it is
recommended to remove the batteries.
