Playing CD’s
1. Push the function selection switch (16) to CD.
2. Open the CD compartment (3) by pulling the lid
upwards by the tab (4).
3. Insert an audio CD with the printed side facing up-
wards on to the central cone so that the CD clicks into
place and then close the lid of the CD compartment.
4. „- -“ appears in the display followed by the number
of tracks. Press the
II PLAY/PAUSE button (13) in
order to play the CD. The CD will play from the fi rst
title.
5. By lightly pressing either the
I SKIP+/I
SKIP-
buttons (8/12) you can jump one track forwards or
backwards. If the button is held down while you are
listening to a track you can search for a particular
piece of music
(I
SKIP- = reverse,
I SKIP+ = forwards).
6. In order to remove a CD, press the
STOP (stop)
button (7), open the CD compartment and lift the CD
out carefully.
Always keep the CD deck closed.
NOTE:
• If a disc has been incorrectly inserted „- -“ fl ashes
and
„no“
appears in the display.
• If no disc has been inserted „- -“ fl ashes and
„Er“ (error)
appears in the display.
• Playback of CDs produced by the user cannot be
guaranteed due to the large variety of software and
CD media available.
Description of the CD buttons
II PLAY/PAUSE (13) (play/pause)
With the CD running:
You can briefl y interrupt and resume playback using this
button. The symbol PLAY
fl ashes in the display. Pressing
again continues playback.
I
SKIP- (12) (reverse search)
With the CD running:
Press once =
This starts the current track again from
the beginning.
Press twice =
This jumps back to the previous track.
Press three times = This plays the song before etc. If the
button is kept pressed down, the machine
starts to search through the tracks.
I SKIP+ (8) (forward search)
With the CD running:
With this button you can jump to the following track or
the next track but one etc. If the button is kept pressed
down, the machine starts to search through the tracks.
REPEAT (11)
Press once =
(the REPEAT emits a fi xed light) the
current track is repeated continuously.
Press twice =
(the REPEAT ALL emits a fi xed light) the
whole CD is played continuously.
Press three times = all functions are cancelled. The normal
play mode is resumed.
RANDOM (10)
Press once =
the display contains the word RAN-
DOM and the track number that is to
be played fi rst. All tracks are played
back in random order.
Press twice =
all functions are cancelled. The normal
play mode is resumed.
Programmed Play with the
PROGRAM Button
This can be used to program any desired sequence of
tracks.
1. Press
the
STOP (stop) button (7).
2. Press the PROGRAM button (9). „MEMORY 01“
(memory preset) fl ashes in the display. Use the
I
SKIP+/I
SKIP- buttons (8/12) to select the desired
track and then press the PROGRAM button again. The
display changes to memory preset 02.
3. Select the next track with the
I SKIP+/I
SKIP-
button and press the PROGRAM button again. Repeat
the procedure until all the desired tracks are selected.
NOTE:
If the maximum space available for the tracks to
be programmed has been reached, the previously
programmed tracks are replaced if further tracks
are entered.
4. Press
the
II PLAY/PAUSE button (13). The playback
starts. PLAY
MEMORY appears in the display. With
this button you can also briefl y interrupt the pro-
gramme.
5. Press once the
STOP (stop) button to stop the
playback while retaining the program. The word
MEMORY disappears.
6. To resume the playback of the program press fi rst the
PROGRAM button once and then the
II PLAY/PAU-
SE button.
7. In order to delete the programme, press the PRO-
GRAM button in stop mode. Then keep the
STOP
button pressed down for approx. 3 sec.
The device stops automatically once the entire sequence
of programmed tracks is completed. The programmed
order of tracks remains in the memory until you change
to a diff erent mode, remove the CD from the CD com-
partment or switch off the device.
