Never use the heating cable for pipework that reaches an operating temperature in excess of 65 °C
(e.g. steam lines).
º
The heating cable must not come into contact with liquids.
º
To prevent fire, the heating cable must have a clearance of at least 15 mm to any easily flammable materials.
º
If you use soft materials such as mineral wool shells as thermal insulation, we recommend securing the entire
surface of the heating cable set with aluminium adhesive tape, to prevent the heating cable pressing too
severely into the thermal insulation, which could lead to higher temperatures.
º
Provide additional protection if you install the heating cable in places where it might be damaged
(e.g. by rodents).
