Commissioning
• Remove all packaging materials.
• Unwind the mains cable completely.
• Before inserting the plug into the socket. Make sure that
the mains voltage to be used matches that of the device.
You can find this information on the nameplate.
• Connect the appliance to a properly installed earthed
socket.
• Press the
button to turn on the appliance. The control
lamp lights. The appliance will be operational after a few
minutes.
NOTE:
When the appliance has heated up, it may result in a slight
development of odors. This odor is caused by the coating
of the heating rod and will disappear with time. Ensure suf-
ficient ventilation.
Use
WARNING:
• Only use the appliance for
dry
hair.
• Do not touch the scalp with the hot curling tongs.
CAUTION:
• Only use the appliance with natural hair. It is not suit
-
able for artificial hair pieces or wigs due to its high
temperature.
• Never use the appliance in combination with styling
products such as mousse, hairspray, or gel.
TIPS:
• We recommend that you spray heat protection spray
onto your dry hair prior to the application.
TIPS:
• When you are done shaping your curls, let the hair cool
off completely before continuing with the styling.
• For intensive curls, do
not
brush your hair afterwards.
Get it into shape with your fingers.
• For a wavy, voluminous look, gently brush your curls
with a brush.
1. Comb or brush your hair to untangle it.
2. Separate the hair into strands of 1.5 to 2 cm in width.
3. Fix the ends of a hair strand with the clip.
4. Hold the hair strand firmly while twisting the hair strand
around the curling iron.
5. Keep the hair strand in that position for approx.
10 seconds for soft curls, or for approx. 20 seconds for
tight curls.
6. Turn the hair curler in order to unwind the hair strand.
Open the clip to release the hair.
7. Let the curl cool down.
8. Repeat steps 3 to 7 for more curls.
Switch-off
• Press the
button after each use. The control lamp turns
off.
• Disconnect the mains plug.
Storage
Leave the device to cool before putting it away! To do so,
place the appliance with the stand onto a heat-resistant,
stable and level surface.
Mains Cable
• Do
not
wrap the mains cable around the appliance. This
may result in the cable breaking.
• Check the mains cable regularly for damagen.
• Cleaning and
user maintenance
must not be carried out by
children
, unless they are supervised.
Cleaning
WARNING:
• Before cleaning remove the mains lead from the socked.
• Under no circumstances should you immerse the device in water
for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might result in an electric
shock or fire.
