1. Keep guards in place and in working order. 

Never

wedge or tie lower blade guard open. Check operation of
lower blade guard before each use. Do not operate if lower
blade guard does not close briskly over saw blade.

WARNING: 

If saw is dropped, lower blade guard may

be bent, restricting full return. If lower blade guard
becomes bent or damaged, replace it before use.

2. Don’t abuse cord. 

Never carry the tool by the cord or pull

it to disconnect from receptacle. Keep cord away from
heat, oil and sharp edges.

3. Secure work.

Use clamp or vice to hold work piece. Use

both hands when operating the tool.

4. Avoid accidental starting. 

Don’t carry plugged-in tool

with finger on switch. Be sure switch is off when plugging
in.

5. Outdoor use extension cords. 

When tool is used out-

doors, use only extension cords intended for use outdoors
and so marked.

6. Keep blades clean and sharp. 

Sharp blades minimise

stalling and kickback.

7. Keep hands away from cutting area

. Keep hands away

from blades. Do not reach underneath work while blade is
rotating. Do not attempt to remove cut material when blade
is moving. WARNING: Blades coast after turning off.

8. Inspect tools cords periodically. 

If damaged, have re-

paired by authorised service centre. Stay constantly aware
of cord location and keep it well away from rotating blade.

9. Use rip fence. 

Always use a fence or straight edge guide

when ripping.

10. Before making a cut. 

Be sure the depth and bevel adjust-

ments are tight.

11. Use correct blades. 

Do not use blades with incorrect size

bores. Never use blade washers or bolts that are defective
or incorrect. The blade capacity of your saw is 190 mm.

12. Avoid cutting nails. 

Inspect and remove all nails from

timber before cutting.

13. Never.

Touch the blade or moving parts during use.

14. Never.

Start the saw when the blade is in contact with the

work piece.

Do not use saw blades that are deformed or cracked.

Do not use saw blades made of high speed steel.

Do not use saw blades that do not comply with the charac-
teristics specified in this instruction manual.

Do not stop the saw blade by lateral pressure on the disc.

Do not lock the movable guard in the open position.

Ensure that the movable guard operates freely without
jamming.

Ensure that any retraction mechanism of the guard system
operates correctly.

Remove plug from the main supply before replacement of
the saw blade, making adjustments or other maintenance
work.

Do not use any abrasive wheel unless the machine is de-
signed for that purpose.
