Rinse aid

Rinse aid ensures thorough rinsing, spot and streak free drying of
dishes and glassware.

Rinse aid can be added in one of two ways:

• If you use the dishwasher detergent and rinse aid separately, add the

rinse aid to the rinse aid container.
If you opt for this method, please note that
– the rinse aid container must never be empty.
– the amount of rinse aid dispensed must be set.

• If you use dishwasher detergent which already contains rinse aid, add

this to the detergent compartment.
If you opt for this method, please note that
– the rinse aid container must be empty in order to avoid dispensing

too much rinse aid.

– You can switch off the

H

 control indicator. Otherwise, the

H

control indicator would stay on permanently owing to the empty
container.

Only use rinse aid specifically designed for domestic dishwashers. Never
fill the rinse aid container with dishwasher detergent or any other sub-
stance (e.g. vinegar essence) as this would damage the appliance.

To switch off the control indicator for rinse aid

1.

The appliance must be switched off.

2.

Press the softener and function buttons simultaneously and keep them
pressed.

3.

In addition press the ON/OFF button.
The LED indicators for the function and water softener buttons flash.

4.

Press the function button again.
The LED indicator for the function button flashes.

5.

L

 indicator shows the current setting:

6.

Pressing the function button

switches the control indicator on or off.

7.

If the control indicator is set, press the ON/OFF button.
The setting for the control indicator is then stored.

The

L

 indicator flashes:

Control indicator switched on (factory setting)

L

 indicator does not flash:
