Place the emptied container under the 
steam nozzle as shown in

. Then 

press the „OK“ key (Fig. 3, g). The con-
tainer serves as a collecting vessel for 
the descaling solution.

To avoid splashes, turn the steam noz-
zle to a position in which the descaling 
solution can be expelled against the 
wall of the container.

Turn the Selection dial for steam and 
hot water (Fig. 1, D) to the position 

. The descaling program starts.

During the descaling process the dis-
play shows the following indications 
alternately:

DESCALING 1 <1-14>

»: 

The program carries out 14 rinses. The 
pauses allow the descaling solution to 
take effect. The rinsing cycles are 
counted off in the display.

IN PROCESS

 The bar indication in the bottom line 
increases with the advance of the 
pause duration.
The display shows the following at the 
end of the last rinsing:

Turn the Selection dial for steam and

tion .

Remove the water tank, rinse it thor-
oughly, fill with fresh water and replace. 
Then press the „OK“ key (Fig. 3, g).
The machine is now ready to be rinsed 
with fresh water.

Turn the Selection dial for steam and 
hot water (Fig. 1, D) to the position 

. A rinsing with fresh water is 

carried out.

hot water (Fig. 1, D) back to the posi-
tion .

Remove water tank, fill with water and 
replace. Then press the „OK“ key (Fig.

WAIT – DESCALING COMPLE-

TED

When this indication is shown, the des-
caling program is ended.
The machine is now ready for use and 
is in the status of the last selected cof-
fee mode.

After running the descaling program, 
you are advised to throw away the first 
cup of coffee from the machine.
