Specifies the configuration for the To/From connection. The following 
selection applies to the NxT1 HSSI Option Module when connected to a 
port on a T1 Module. This is the only valid application for the NxT1 HSSI 
Option Module.

DS0 S

ELECTION

Defines DS0s for the T1 port.  Use this field to define the DS0s for 
this connection.

Indicates which DS0s of the T1 are assigned. DS0 assignment is 
based on the following items:

sents the last digit of the DS0 number.

The NxT1 HSSI/V35 Module supports connects from the module’s four built-in T1 ports as well as 
other installed T1/T3 modules. Enabling the built-in ports by setting the

 on page 32) allows only four T1s from other T1/T3 modules to be 

mapped to the HSSI interface in addition to the module’s four built-in ports. When the module’s built-
in T1 ports are active, only ports 5-8 will be displayed in the available

For the NxT1 HSSI Module, any entry in the DS0 selection field that is less than 24 DS0s is 
disregarded.  The NxT1 HSSI Module requires the use of all 24 DS0s on a T1 for proper 
operation.
