Network Connection

Two eight-pin modular jacks labeled

NTWK 1

and

NTWK 2

provide the net-

work connection. The two network interface (NI) ports comply with appli-
cable ANSI and AT&T

standards. The NIs provide the following functions:

•

AMI or B8ZS coding

•

Manual line build out

•

D4 or ESF framing

•

Network performance monitoring and reporting

•

Test loopbacks with QRSS generation and checking

•

Extensive self-testing
