POTS Troubleshooting
When
the
POTS
LED
is
red,
the
port
is
in
a
fault
condition.
To
correct
the
problem,
do
the
following:
• Contact
the
OLT
administrator
and
ensure
the
port
is
provisioned
and
working.
If
the
port
is
provisioned
and
working,
proceed
to
the
next
step.
• Disconnect
the
CPE
wiring
and
wait
30
seconds.
If
the
LED
turns
off,
the
trouble
is
a
short
in
the
housing
wiring.
If
the
LED
remains
Red,
the
unit
is
probably
bad.
ODN Interface Troubleshooting
The
successful
use
of
the
ODN
interface
connection
relies
on
several
factors
being
within
tolerance.
The
components
must:
• Be
clean
and
dry
(refer
to
below).
• Have
mechanically
tight
connections.
• Contain
the
proper
optical
signal
levels.
