Hybrid Standalone DVR User Guide

3.5.1.3

Video Masking

The Video Masking feature alerts you when someone maliciously masks the lens, or the output video
is in monochrome due to a change in ambient light.

To set up a Masking event:

Open the Detect screen by selecting

Main Menu > Setting > Event > Detect

. The Detect

screen opens.

Select the

Video Masking

tab.

Figure 3-47

In the

Channel

area, select the channel you want to set up from the dropdown list.

Check the

Enable

checkbox to enable the Masking feature for this channel.

In the

Period

area, select the

Setup

button. The Setup dialog opens for setting the motion

detection period.
