TEMPLATE STRING: DEFINITION OF MQTT PAYLOAD FOR PUBLISHED TOPICS 
 

In the “Set MQTT Access” section, it is possible to define a Template string for the MQTT messages. The template is necessary in order to 
define the structure of the payload of the MQTT message and the info contained. 
It is possible to have a simple text format or a JSON format. 
 
The definition of the template can be done using Key words, used to link a specific information from DALI. The key words used and their 
meanings are different: 

 

CHANNEL: ID of the DALI ballast/sensor 

 

STATUS: Status of the DALI ballast 

 

ADV: level of brightness of DALI ballast 

 

ANSWER: last answer from the DALI ballast to a DALI command 

 

TYPE: type of DALI ballast 

 

VERSION: version of DALI ballast 

 

MIN: minimum value settable in the DALI ballast 

 

GRP1: groups’ setting 1/1 for DALI ballast 

 

GRP2: groups’ setting 2/2 for DALI ballast 

 

SENSOR: ‘0’ 

 Ballast, ‘1’ 

 Sensor 

 

INSTANCE: Instance of DALI sensor read 

 

VALUE: data from DALI sensor/ballast 

 

TIME: date and time
