View Hardware Information displays the part number of the operating system.

The write filter on the Adept SmartVision EX does not need to be unlocked to run this.

Local Configuration

Upgrading Adept ACE

This section covers the procedure for upgrading Adept ACE from the Adept SmartVision EX on
which it resides.

Tasks

• Disable write filter

• Upgrade Adept ACE software

• Re-enable write filter

Disabling the Write Filter

1. From the Windows desktop screen, click

Start > All Programs > FBWF > FBWF Disable

A window will display a message that the write filter will be disabled after the next
reboot.

2. Reboot the Adept SmartVision EX unit.
