In case of the existing mast’s flange on the vessel or ship does not fit the ADU’s mounting
base’s holes, a custom-made mechanical adaptation flange should be designed and
fabricated.plate and the flange acts as an interface between the existing mast and the ADU.
2.1.6 Installing Antenna Unit
The antenna unit should be carefully unpacked and checked for any damage.
The procedure of the installation of the antenna unit is as follow:
Attach the coaxial cable to the RF connector on the antenna unit’s base.
Position the antenna unit to the mounting location.
Ensure the connection of the coaxial cable and wrap it with self-amalgamating tape
for water-proofing.
