Mouse switching may be enabled or disabled using the option switches (see section
2.5). When mouse switching is disabled the third button or wheel button state is
‘passed through’ the ADDERview and seen by the application software.
3.6 Maintenance mode options and functions
A number of useful functions are provided via the ADDERview’s maintenance mode.
The ADDERview continues to provide full emulation on all ports whilst within
maintenance mode to avoid errors occurring on the attached CPUs. The
maintenance mode functions provided are:
1)
Restore CPU PS/2 mouse connection.
2)
Restore CPU IntelliMouse mouse connection.
3)
Query the ADDERview firmware version.
4)
Synchronise a CPU PS/2 mouse connection
5)
Reset the shared keyboard and mouse.
To enter maintenance mode
Hold down the front panel key for 5 seconds until the lights on channels 1 and 2 are
illuminated together.
Whilst within maintenance mode
Press keys

the key on the front of the ADDERview as follows:

on the keyboard to reset the PS/2 mouse connection on the port
that was selected when maintenance mode was entered (this port’s video is
displayed on the monitor). After pressing the key the ADDERview will
automatically return to normal operation mode. (see section 2.8 for information
on using this function)

on the keyboard to reset the IntelliMouse mouse connection on
the port that was selected when maintenance mode was entered (this port’s
video is displayed on the monitor). After pressing the key the ADDERview will
