The cover is seated tightly on the chassis. Standing in front of the server, use the
heel of your hand to deliver a short, forceful thrust to the cover pad on the rear
cover plate of the server.

Slide the cover off and set it aside.
Removing the Card Cage Assembly

To disconnect the SATA ribbon cable, unlock the connector, unlock the cable
retainer (mechanism not shown), and then grasping the edges of the connector,
pull it out of its receptacle.

Position yourself on the left side of the server (side furthest from the AC/power
cord receptacle).

Pressing the latch at the front of the assembly with one hand while grasping the
assembly with the other, lift the assembly straight up in a strong, even motion.
Note
When removing the card cage assembly, do not grasp it by the handle. The
handle is not strong enough to remove the card cage assembly.

Set the assembly aside.
