Troubleshooting with CardWizard Pro
OS/2 Troubleshooting
Your SCSI subsystem and SCSI devices may become unstable when
your laptop PC enters suspend mode (APM). (This is due to the way
in which IBM has implemented suspend mode in OS/2.) If this
problem occurs, disable suspend mode.
Troubleshooting with
CardWizard Pro
CardWizard Pro software, from SystemSoft, is a PC Card resource
allocation and configuration utility that is included with your
SlimSCSI adapter. Install and use CardWizard Pro if your
Windows 3.1 PC does not recognize the SlimSCSI adapter. (This is
seldom necessary; in most cases you can use the Card and Socket
Services software included with your portable PC.)
Note:
Do not install CardWizard Pro if you have an IBM
ThinkPad 760 series PC. CardWizard Pro currently does not
support this PC model.
Follow these steps if you need to install CardWizard Pro on your
Windows 3.1 PC. Before you begin, be sure that Adaptec EZ-SCSI is
already installed:

Remove any PC cards that are currently installed in PC Card
slots on your portable PC.

Insert the CardWizard Pro diskette in your PC’s floppy disk
drive.

Start Windows 3.1, if it is not already running.

Select File/Run from the Program Manager menu.

Type
a:\setup
and click OK.
