3. High-Gloss Door Pillar Trim
The door pillar trims on the 2021 TLX come with a high-gloss finish instead of a matte finish. To keep that
finish looking new, be sure to treat it with a micro-abrasive polish such as McGuiar’s Scratch X 2.0 or 3M
Scratch Remover.
For best results, follow the directions on the bottle and always use a micro-fiber cloth to apply it. Never use
a rag or shop towel.
4. FNC Brake Discs
The 2021 TLX comes with FNC brake discs. Never refinish these discs.
5. Alternator Testing
Since the battery is mounted in the trunk, you cannot test the alternator with the GR8. See the service
information on how to test the alternator.
6. Under-Hood Jump Starting
You can jump start this vehicle from under the hood using the jump start terminals as shown. Keep in mind
you cannot jump start another vehicle with these terminals.
