100 Series System Administrator’s Manual

134

Disk Management

ENR keeps the recordings on SATA hard disks installed in it. Whenever recording is taking

place, ENR writes data to one of the disks, and switch to the other as the original one is full.

Once the available space of the whole system is less than the reserved size, ENR will start

deleting the oldest file to make the amount of space allowing each active channel to record

for another 10 minutes.

You may observe the disk memory and recording status on

Storage

page.

Format Hard Disks

Select a disk and click “

Format

”.

You may execute disk formatting toward a newly-installed disk. You should follow the

installation procedures (refer to Rackmount the Device (ENR-190)

This device

is designed to be mounted on a standard server rack, which occupies 1U (1.75″)

of vertical space.

Allow a minimum of 5 cm clearance at the front and the rear for front-to-back airflow of

the unit.

Prepare a rack shelf or a rail kit rated for the

device’s weight, and install that to support

the entire device. Make sure the accessories you purchase fit the mounting bracket

pre-installed on this device.

Secure the device to rack posts by its chassis ears using suitable screws.
