The task list content depends on the programs installed on the connected computer. The
most populated list will include managing
Backup and Recovery Tasks
(using the
Acronis True Image Agent; and if the MSE Agent is installed at the local computer, the
Microsoft Exchange Tasks and Tools
will become available as well),
Acronis
Group
Server Management
and
Acronis Backup Server Management
.
While you are operating on a remote computer, the computer could reboot or the
connection to the computer could be broken for other reasons. This will result in
operations failure, such as hiding of the remote computer file system in wizards, or
operation may hang. Use
Reconnect
on the sidebar to test whether the computer is
available again or eliminate any malfunction that persists.
The console automatically attempts to reconnect to the last connected machine every 30
sec. To change the time interval between the attempts, select
Tools -> Options ->
Network -> Reconnect options
.
When the console is disconnected, Reconnect provides a handy one-click connection to
the most recently accessed machine.
4.3.2 Backup and recovery tasks
After clicking on
Backup and Recovery Tasks,
the program window will appear like the
graphic below:
If Acronis Recovery for MS Exchange Console is not installed on the local computer or
Acronis Recovery for MS Exchange Agent is not installed on the remote computer,
Microsoft Exchange tasks and tools options will be disabled and unavailable.
