Issues Using Y
our Stove
The flue system has two main functions:
• To safely remove the smoke, fumes and combustion gases from the appliance.
• To provide a sufficient amount of flue draught in the appliance to ensure the correct amount of combustible air is introduced to
keep the fire burning.
• The flue draught is caused by rising hot gases when the appliance is lit.
• Tar and creosote are a major cause of chimney fires. If the appliance experiences problems with tar build up, consult a chimney
sweep before continued use of the appliance.
For advice on the correction of persistent flue problems consult a qualified competent engineer before continuing to use
the appliance.
