Getting started with Windows 8 on your new touch-
enabled Monitor
We know this is a new operating system that will take some getting used to,
so we've created a few pointers to help you get started.
* Note: For the touchscreen & USB function to work, you need to connect the USB cable to the NB or PC, as
well as connecting through a DVI or HDMI
cable.
Three concepts you might want to keep in mind
1.
Start
The Start button is no longer available; you can launch apps from the
Start
screen.

Tiles
Live tiles are similar to thumbnails of the programs.
3.
Charms bar
The Charms bar is a context-sensitive area containing settings and other
useful functions.
How do I open the Charms bar?
Swipe the right-hand edge of the screen inwards to open the Charms bar.
How do I get to
Start
?
Press the Windows key, or swipe the right-hand edge of the screen to open
the Charms bar and tap
Start
.
