6.5.12 Removing/Replacing the Power Supply Board
To remove and replace the Power Supply Board Assembly, use the following procedure:
1.
Turn off the computer; disconnect the AC power adapter (if it is attached),
and remove the battery pack and PCMCIA cards as described in Paragraphs
6.5.1 and 6.5.2. Also disconnect the MPB (Paragraph 6.5.3) if attached.
2.
Remove the Keyboard Assembly as described in Paragraph 6.5.5.
3.
Remove the Heat Sink Assembly as described in Paragraph 6.5.6.
4.
Remove the screw that secures the Power Supply Board Assembly to the Main
Board and remove the board from the base assembly.
5.
Replacement is the reverse of Steps 1 through 4.
