7. Unit Maintenance
7.1 Periodic Cleaning Routines
Follow the recommendations below to minimize possible errors during the
operation of the unit and to extend the life of the unit.
Daily routine:
Perform the following steps on a daily basis:
a.
Turn Off the Turn OFF the unit.
b.
At the end of each work session, use a cloth to remove dust and dirt
accumulated during the day.
c.
With the brush, remove the dust accumulated in the exposed optical
sensors.
Weekly routine:
Perform the following steps on a weekly basis:
a.
Turn OFF the unit.
b.
Open the unit’s top cover.
c.
Use a brush and a compressed air can to remove dust and debris from the
inside of the unit as well as the rollers and transport mechanisms.
d.
Use a clean cloth moistened with alcohol to properly clean the CIS
sensors as well as the rollers.
NOTE:
Be careful during the cleaning routine to avoid any damage to the
unit, especially the CIS sensors.
