Place the Specimen Slide
1. Push the lever

of the specimen holder backwards.
2. Place the slide on the stage with the cover glass

facing upwards.
Gently release the lever
①
and allow the clip to slowly close onto the
slide and clamp the slide firmly(see Fig.15).
★
Do not let go of the lever as the clamp will close too fast. This may
result in slide breakage and flying glass pieces.
3. Rotate the X and Y-axis knob
③
of the stage, and move the specimen
to the center (aligned with the center of objective).

1. Before installing the filter, rotate the condenser to the bottom and
then open the filter holder.

Place the filter with the rough side downward.
