The test strip has been inserted incorrectly
or incompletely. Gently insert the test strip
with the arrows pointing toward the meter,
until it will go no further.
The wrong code key is inserted. Insert the
code key that came with the vial of strips
you are using.
The meter cannot read the code key.
Remove the code key and reinsert it.

The wrong code key may have been
inserted. Insert the code key that came
with the vial of strips you are using.

The measurement optics are dirty or you
have inserted a used or expired test strip.
Clean the measurement optics (Chapter 5)
and repeat the test with a new strip.

Blood or control solution was applied too
early. Always wait for the test strip symbol
and flashing drop of blood to appear in the
display before applying blood or control
solution.
