Web Server Setup

This system has capability to allow users to view live, control PTZ cameras or replay stored
video using a internet web browser. The system administer can enable or disable feature.

Enable or disable web viewing service

: Enable – Disable web viewing service. (Default)

Enter HTTPd port

“WEB Port” : Default port is 80. Port 80 is commonly used web servers. May use
different port number for security reason.

DDNS Setup

IP address is used by remote client program or web browser to connect to the system.

When dynamic IP address is used by the system (e.g. DHCP or xDSL service), unlike Static IP
address, IP address changes randomly. (e.g. DHCP assigns IP address for system and IP
address changes).  Hence, “dynamic IP address. This change make it impossible for the remote
users to connect to the system via internet.

Dynamic Domain Name Service (DDNS) resolves this randomly changing IP address problem.
In a regular interval or when new IP address is assigned to the system,  the system informs
DDNS server that IP address has been changed.  DDNS server keep the current IP address.

When a remote user need to connect the system, a remote user will inquire DDNS server for the
current IP address of the system and use that IP address to connect to the system.
