4.4.2 Power on from Disk Box
If you want to power on the PC from the Disk Box which is connected to AEC-
67160D, you should install Windows 2000 into the device first.
NOTICE
: You are recommended to set the SCSI ID of the Disk Box
which is installed with Windows 2000 as 0.
Please follow the 5 steps described below to install Windows 2000 into the Disk
Box.
1. Place the CD containing Windows 2000 Operating System into CD-ROM. Power
off the PC and restart.
2. After starting the PC from the CD containing Windows 2000 and entering the blue
screen (about 5 seconds), press
F6
to enter the screen of Driver Installation.
3. Press
S
to specify the newly installed AEC-67160D according to the instructions
on the screen.
4. Place the floppy disk containing the driver into Drive A.
5. After the system detects the driver on Drive A, click “
Enter
” to complete.
4.4.3 Verify the SCSI Adapter
After restarting the PC, please follow the 4 steps listed below to confirm if AEC-
67160D is installed well.
1. Double click “
My Computer
”, and a screen like the following figure will appear.
