To make the total span we must now join the ridge beams

.

Using a hacksaw, remove one protruding section of each
ridge beam, this will allow the sections to butt up neatly
to each other.

Cut away these two only.

Self drilling Tek screw

Joined Ridge Beams

Insert the RBS at an equal distance
into each ridge beam. Confirm that
the beam is straight with a string line
before fastening with self drilling
screws.

The RBS is a very tight fit, tap into
place with a hammer.
