STEP 8
DEFLATE AIRBAGS
•
Grab with both hands under the net cover
over the valve. Now fold up the red cover
and press the release valve in the centre of
the black suction and release valve. At the
same time, compress the airbag until it is
completely empty.
STEP 9
FOLDING AIRBAGS
•
Attention! Improper folding will result in
poor opening of the airbags. This can lead
to malfunction and damage to the
backpack!
•
Therefore,
please
fold
the
airbags
according to the following instructions:
1. Lie the airbags down with the suction and
release valve facing up. Fold the airbags to be
the same length as the base unit.
•
2. Starting from the top, fold the airbags to
the opposite side of the suction and
release valve.
•
3. Fold the airbags towards the backpack
ensuring that each fold is approximately a
hand’s width so that the airbag can easily
unfold. You can release air continuously as
you fold.
•
4. After stowing the airbag in the
designated pocket, the zipper is pulled up
inside. Then the zipper at the top and
bottom of the backpack can be separated
and the zipper puller can be pulled down.
Now the slider can be hooked inside and
closed upwards completely. The velcro can
then be closed.
STEP 10
REPLACE CARTRIDGE
After every activation, the cartridge must be
replaced. Proceed according to step 1, 2 and 3.
The ABS®-System is then once again
operational.
•
4.2 BEFORE EVERY TOUR OR USE
Follow steps 1– 5 of the Initial Operation:
1. Checking cartridge weight
2. Load System
3. Attache cartridge
4. Attache straps and belts
4.3 AT THE END OF THE TOUR
To
temporarily
prevent
unintentional
activations, we recommend always locking the
handle lock of the handle!
To
prevent
unintentional
activation,
we
recommend to remove the cartridge and then
pull the activation handle to release the
activation mechanism. This applies in particular
if you could endanger yourself or others
through an unintentional activation, such as in
chairlifts, cable cars, helicopters, buses, trains,
etc.
