These limits are designed to provide reasonable

For Power Sources

Do not disable the protective earth pin from
the plug; the equipment must be connected
to an earthed mains socket-outlet.

For pluggable equipment, the socket-outlet
shall be installed near the equipment and
shall be easily accessible.
For Placement

Adjustment of the volume control as well as
the equalizer to other settings than the center
position may increase the ear-/ headphones
output voltage and therefore the sound
pressure level.
