4 Putting into operation MAG
1 Lay down the cable assembly (8) straight.
2 Remove gas nozzle (10) , contact tip (9) , tip adaptor (11) and gas
diffuser (1) from torch neck (2) .
3 Unscrew nut (5) from central connector (6) .
4 Slide liner (7) through the wire conduit (3) up to the retaining nipple (4) .
5 Screw in nut (5) by hand.
6 Cut off the excess length of the liner (7) flush with the torch neck (2) and
pull out the liner (7) .
7 Sharpen the spiral guide liner beginning to an angle of approx. 40° and
debur the cutting point.
8 Slide sharpened liner (7) through the wire conduit (3) up to the retaining
nipple (4) .
9 Screw in nut (5) and tighten it.
10 Screw in gas diffuser (1) , tip adaptor (11) , and contact tip (9) and attach
gas nozzle (10) .
4.3 Mounting the cable assembly
1 Combine central connector and central socket at the wire feed unit and
secure them with the connecting nut.
2 Properly mount the connections for water supply/return, shielding gas and
control line plug.
