WT 4 Putting into operation
Equip the torch neck according to the following figure:
1 Screw the replaceable tip adaptor (4) to the torch neck (5)

(refers to ABIMIG
®
240D/401D/501D WT).
The following steps refer to all torch types.
2 Screw gas diffuser (3) onto tip adapter (4) .
3 Screw the contact tip (2) into the tip adaptor (4) and tighten contact tip (2)
using a multiple wrench.
4 Slide the gas nozzle (1) on the torch neck rotating it slightly clockwise.
4.2 Mounting the wire guide
4.2.1 Liner
To be used for steel wires.
1 Unscrew torch neck from handle.
2 Disconnect cable assembly on machine side and lay it down straight.

NOTICE
• Only use gas-tight, plastic-insulated wire guides to ensure a secure
shielding gas cover and a defined current contact.
• Bare liners give rise to a loss of shielding gas.
NOTICE
• New still unused spiral liners or PA liners have to be shortened to the
actual length of the hose assembly.
• To install the wire guide with a little preload, excess length required.
