Violation of rule 1 results in PMU applications not running at all. The reason is the
inconsistent cycle time. For example, in Figure
, the SMAI block is updating its
output every 3 ms while the PHASORREPORT block is expecting input every 0.9
ms. The PHASORREPORT filtering window is designed to receive updated input
every 0.9 ms and therefore the application will fail.
Rule 2:
The same SMAI or 3PHSUM block can be connected to more than one
PHASORREPORT block only if all the connected PHASORREPORT blocks have
similar instance number or only if all the connected PHASORREPORT blocks
have similar settings for SvcClass and ReportRate. Figure
