The IED outputs are categorized as power outputs (POx) and signal outputs (SOx).
The power outputs can be used for starting and stopping the motor. The signal outputs
are not heavy-duty outputs. They are used for alarm or signalling purposes.

via galvanically-isolated matching transformers. The matching transformer input
