Releasing the brakes during installation

To release the motor brake during installation, feed +24V to the connection

BRAKEA/B/L

, and 0V to the connection

BRAKE

CAUTION

Never shift polarity of the brake. If the polarity is shifted, the motor unit will be
damaged.

Installing motor units

Use this procedure to install motor units. For cable connections, see

Information

Action

CAUTION

If using the motor unit in direct contact with
oil or grease, make sure that the running
conditions are suitable for the motor seal-
ing.

Fit the motor in position and secure it with
its attachments screws.

CAUTION

When fitting the motor pinion, make sure
not to use high force or other methods that
can damage the pinion, shaft, or resolver.
