In addition to this manual, refer to the job-specific
literature, manuals and drawings that will provide useful
information as you install, operate and maintain the
switchgear.

Torque fasteners
Heat generated by improper terminal torque is a leading
cause of equipment failure. Torque terminals to the values
shown in the following table.
The Eslok® fasteners provided include an integrated thread
coating that ensures they will remain at the torqued valued.
Once torqued to the proper value, draw a line across the
fastener head and the surrounding metal surface so you can
visually check whether the fastener has changed position
and may require attention. Bolts torqued at the factory will
be marked in the same way.
The following torque tables apply to horizontal and vertical
busbar screw connections, electrical component screw
connections,
terminal
connections
and
structural
components of the MNS-SG system.
