Analyzer Setup
Hardware Setup Summary
Under normal operating conditions, the analyzer is installed in the trunk of a vehicle that must
have open access to the vehicle’s climate-control system. Ensure there is a clearance of at least
15 cm (6 in) for all fans and ventilation ports on the analyzer’s enclosure. For more details on
installing the analyzer in a vehicle, refer to the
MobileGuard™ System Manual
.
Power Connection
The analyzer is designed to be powered by a vehicle battery.
IMPORTANT!
Do not start the vehicle while the analyzer is running. Although the analyzer
can run directly off the battery, the voltage drops which occur when starting
the vehicle result in rebooting the analyzer or leaving it in an indeterminate
state.
For information on powering the analyzer using a vehicle battery, refer to the
MobileGuard™
System Manual
.
Data Interface Connections
See Figure 3 for details on the connections.
Inlet/Outlet Plumbing Connections
Gas to be measured is connected to the
⅜
inch Swagelok inlet port (see Figure 6).
For a full description of setting up the analyzer inlet/outlet connections in a vehicle, refer to the
MobileGuard™ System Manual
.
