Start-up

Contents of this chapter

This chapter describes the hardware commissioning of the inverter unit. For information on
setting up the control program, refer to the appropriate firmware manual. For information
on commissioning the supply unit, refer to its hardware manual.

Start-up procedure

The tasks which are needed in certain cases only are marked with underlining, and option
codes are given in brackets. Default device designations (if any) are given in brackets after
the name, for example “main switch-disconnector (Q1)”. The same device designations are
also used in the circuit diagrams.

These instructions cannot and do not cover all possible start-up tasks of a customized drive.
Always refer to the delivery-specific circuit diagrams when proceeding with the start-up.

Only qualified electricians are allowed to do the work described in this chapter.

Note:

For certain options (such as functional safety oQ950, +Q951, +Q952, +Q957,

+Q963, +Q964, +Q978, +Q979), additional start-up instructions are given in their separate
manuals.
