Pre - Installation Requirements

The bath should be connected via a 5 Amp IP65 rated switched fused spur unit, with
2m of 1.5mm 3 core round flex trailing. Located at the tap end of the bath,
positioning and specification to be in accordance with IEE regulations.
The Spur box should be mounted between 300-500mm off the floor.

Where a whirlpool is fitted a 13 Amp IP65 rated switched fused spur is
required in addition.
Electrical Connection & Earth Bonding
A 30mA RCCD or RCBO is required in compliance in accordance with 17th Edition IEE
regulations. This should be located just outside the bathroom or on the consumer unit
covering that area of the building.
Earth Bonding and Cross Bonding are to be fitted and tested for continuity in
accordance with IEE regulations.
The trailing flex should be protected by use of flexible conduit.
