This register allows software to easily determine which GPIO 7-0 signals are
available on the board. All GPIO signals use shared backplane pins and are only
available when the board is configured with the appropriate build option.
NOTE
Even when a port is not available due to a build option, the port may still be visible to software.
Availability of these ports is build option dependent.
